I just bought a 2D3 Kit and need to purchase a mircodrive.  Please advise me where to buy one from and how to install the full version of pfsense to the microdrive.

Without knowing what part of the planet you exist upon, it's impossible to provide meaningful advice about purchase locations.

I live in New York, what kind should I buy and how can I go about installing it best?  Will future versions support microdrive/full install on CF better?

Strangely a lot of us on this board don't live in New York and don't know the stores there very well  Roll Eyes

Try online.  There will be no shortage of places selling them, and plenty of ways of finding them, such as Google.

Still don't know of a place to buy a NEW Hitachi Microdrive.

ebay is a good place to start... Most Retail stores discontinue carrying the Microdrive because they are popular for been energy inefficient driving the batterys of devices like digital cameras down...

If you in NYC you can try B&H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
