hi,
I am running a pfsense box on 192.168.10.0/24 subnet, this box is connected to many wirless access points by LAN & switches. actually wireless clients are on the same subnet than wireless AP (that are configured manually)
I need to split my network into 2 subnets :
Client subnet : the same as pfsense box (192.168.10.0/24) Access point subnet : 192.168.20.0/24 for example
my question is : what is the settings that i shoud set to be able to reach the 192.168.20.0/24 subnet (to access to AP configuration)
thanks for your suggestions !

pfSense English Support / DHCP and DNS / strange DHCP leases with Dlink 2100 AP in client mode

I am using the latest version of pfsense (1.0.1) with DHCP server configured with static leases. the LAN interface of the pfsense box is connected to an as access point wireless clients connected directely to the access point get the correct IP (assigned by dhcp). some client using a wireless client (Dlink AP, or atlantis configured in CLIENT MODE) connected to their ethernet card don't get the correct IP from DHCP - If I add the mac adress of their ethernet card in DHCP static map === NO correct IP - If I add the mac of the wireless client === they don't obtain the correct IP also
It's very strange !!
Anybody have an idea on how to assign static leases for client connected behind an access point working in client mode ? ?
Thanks

- setup your PPTP server on pfsense or better on your DD-WRT router (forward VPN port to your WRT IP adress) - setup your VPN connection (make sure that you unckeck in TCP/IP advanced settings, "use default gateway on remote computer") - connect to your PPTP server from wan side (server IP the same as WAN adress)
and now you can reach all your internal network

I am already running a P4 2.6 GHz with 256MB DD-RAM swap is 256 or 512 Mb i have not changed the default value during initial installation
actual information in system shows :
CPU usage : 3 % Memory Usage : 63 % (I have noticed that when squid was not installed i have 38 %) Swap usage : 3 % Disk Usage : 1 %
