Hi, I need some guidance with next network configuration. I have for different subnets and they have to be configured so clients from different subnets are not allowed to see each other. All client from all subnets should have the same gateway (pfSense 2) with pppoe dial up on wan interface. And here is an schematic:

WAN Internet provider (dynamic DHCP over PPPOE)

10.10.1.0/24 10.10.2.0/24 10.10.3.0/24 10.10.4.0/24

These subnet are also configured on manage switch (group of ports managed for each subnet) but the forth subnet should be accessible for other three subnet (4th subnet are for printers) so all client from other subnets (1,2,3) should be able to print (subnet 4).

Please help.

Maybe I need to add virtual adapter and reconfigure the bridge to that virtual adpater (OPT1)?

I am running pfsense 1.2.3 release and Canyon CN-WF511 with RT2561 chipset. I can’t setup WLAN interface General Configuration Type set to None cose there is only two options static and dynamic but I think that section doesn’t meter. If I tray to ping wifi host from lan host I get every 5th or so replay.

Is there any step by step guide how to setup this easy scenario?

Nope i found solution it has been problem with ADSL line and some https traffic.

I red somewhere that the problem is with username with @ character but on opendns doesn’t allow anything else except email as username.

I login to OpenDNS and DNS-O-Matic with a username (all alphabetic characters, no "@"). I update my dynamic IP registrations from pfSense through DNS-O-Matic. The pfSense configuration specifies a username, not an email address.

Account creation at http://www.dnsomatic.com asks for username, email and password. Perhaps it is necessary to create a DNS-O-Matic account so you can give a username (not an email address) to the pfSense dynamic DNS updater.

I finaly solved the problem. It wasnt problem with setup on pfsense. The problem was with ADSL line. Internet provider made some changes on their side and now everthing works fine . The problem have been with some https traffic.

I ve still have the problem and rulles working fine on otheri site with other pfsense box.

No that is not the problem cose when I try without pfsense directly to modem everything is ok. And the problem is not just gmail tehre is a problem with twitter, web banking, so I asume all https.

Hi I have problem to login or logoff on gmail behind pfsense. If I manage to login it is tooooo slow and once I login I can regularly sign out. I am using pfsense as pppoe router so if I try to do this in front of pfsene everything works fine. I am using 2.0 release, WAN is pppoe no packages are installed (it was installed squid proxy as transparent proxy but I ve removed it) I forgot to say that any other page http I’ve tried to open work fine but the problem is with https especially on Gmail.

You have to register with dnsomatic - this is a separate registration from your OpenDNS registration.

Your OpenDNS registration allows you to change the characteristics of the filtering OpenDNS applies to name service requests from your registered IP address. Your DNS O Matic registration provides a way for you to notify a number of DNS providers (including OpenDNS) a change in your IP address.

I think you are wrong cose this is on their account page "OpenDNS accounts work seamlessly at DNS-O-Matic". Just to be sure that you understood me I can  login over web site O-Matic but something is wrong with my setup (1st pic on this topic) or this doesn’t work on pfSense.

Hi i have problem configuring DNS-O-Matic service. It doesn’t get an update. I’ve created O-Matic account witch updates my NO-IP and OPEN-Dns account but in pfsense I can’t configure it. I’ve set it up as shown in atached picture.

Nope this didnt help. Now I dont even recive cert. error page.
