Because we're preparing the release, no more snapshots.

Hmm, good thing I checked this subforum 1st when I noticed everything was gone...

Thought it was me Tongue

edit: This just came to me: can we update from a snapshot to the release just like from snapshot to a newer snapshot?

That's great news.  I was hoping to put the latest and greatest on a box.  Where should I look to download at?

Yes although you will need to set your auto-update URL back to the official release mirror instead of the snapshots server.

Correct. That is only for full installs. For nano, just download the file and update as usual (or do an update by URL from the console)

Cool! Cannot wait! One quick question though. Will the wireless driver for ath devices still be the same so that after the update to the release of 1.2.3 my wlan will work?

The wireless drivers will be the same as stock FreeBSD 7.2. They had been backed down for a bit to test and see if certain issues could be worked out, but in the end they were put back. If you had a wireless card that worked for a while, but then was not recognized in RC3, it should work again now.

Thanks jimp. My card is working right now, so I was hoping that it will still work when I update Wink

You might want to checkout the Download Mirrors for Released Versions.   Smiley
