Any documentation for tinydns in pfsense?

Tried setting up tinydns for internal resolution for machines but have not been successful. Bound the ip to 127.0.0.1 and did port forwarding from LAN interface ip of udp 53 to loopback. But not clear on how to setup records....etc. Any help would be much appreciated.

My reason for looking at tinydns is that the bonjour protocol cannot broadcast across multiple subnets and my wireless network is on a different subnet than my LAN. When trying to print with an iPad I am unable to do so if connected to the wireless subnet but if connected to the LAN subnet I am. The recommendation has been to setup unicast dns. Another option was setting up multicast but many say it is much too complicated for bonjour and better off setting up unicast dns.
