Squid and AD authentication

Hi,
I've configured squid authentication to "NT Domain" and I get prompted for my credentials when I try to open a webpage.
However the credentials are never accepted (using "domain\user" or just "user").
The system log says:
msnt_auth[51684]: Server error when checking
username
Has anyone been able to use this option? Should I use LDAP or Radius (with IAS) instead?
I have a Win2003 R2 domain. I'm using pfSense 2.0 x64.
