Has anyone here tried to install pfsense on a EVGA Killer Xeno Pro?
I'm just wondering if its possible.
They have a Power PC processor USB port, an Ethernet port and 128MB ram.
I would think using one as the wan port in a pfsense rig would be a better idea than using it to play games on.
If possible you could install it from cd/dvd bootable media to the usb port in the card and possibly boot directly to the network card.
by just replacing the built in linux with pfsense. I am interested in others ideas and thoughts on this. It just makes sense to me to use one of these adapters for the center of this project and possibly still be able to use the systems processors / ram in conjunction with the adapters built in hardware - somehow making it configurable on how the balancing would be assigned.

At present pfSense does not run on Power PC CPUs, only on x86 and amd64 (also known as x86_64) CPUs.

Thanks for the reply, for some reason that completely slipped my mind. I wonder how hard it would be to port to said hardware? Power PC versions of BSD UNIX do exist.

PPC is considered a Tier 2 architecture for FreeBSD.  I wouldn't hold your breath on a port of pfSense.
