Hey,

I'm looking to let clients enter the network through the pfsense box, but when they surf from inside the network they should leave through our main gateway.
I am unable to find a feature that allows this, except for static-routing, which as far is i know, is dirty and frowned upon.

The gateway field in the PPTP setup seems like a good candidate, but the descriptive text states it has to be a free IP adress.

Does anyone know how to assign a different gateway to the PPTP clients?

Wondering the same thing, I've got clients connecting but their subnet is a /32. Is there anyway to specify the gateway and a subnet of /16?

PPTP doesn't work that way - it's always "point to point" as in it doesn't have a subnet or gateway in the traditional sense.

You can maybe do policy routing to fudge it, but adjusting the gateway and subnet mask at the network level doesn't work for ppp.

Ok, thanks for the reply, guess the static routes will have to stay then...
