Apologies if this has been answered, but I couldn't find an answer searching,  I found a reference to a bug, but no solution,    We have paid WiFi at our cafe,  and want to also be able to give a certain amount of time away with a minimum purchase,  My idea was to continue using username/pw & radius for the paid login as we have been for years,  But also add a 30 minute voucher for free time,  The trouble i ran into, is with PFsense re-authenticating to Radius every minute,  it logs out the vouchered user,    is there a workaround for this?  or should i disable "reauth every minute",  if disabled what would the effect be on radius'd users.

Also do the vouchers expire after use?   Or can they simply be used again?

Thanks for any info you can pass along

I opened this ticket on redmine. I do not know any workaround for that.

If you disable "re-authenticate every minute" there will be no disconnects but if the user has sed his 30minutes there is no check about that and the user will no be disconnected after 30min.

A possibility to solve this problem could be a hard-timeout with 30min - then the user must reconnect but then the time will be checked and the user gets rejected. But ist could silly for users which have paid for 2h and they always need to reconnect.

Yeah i thought about a hard timeout,   Our users don't pre-buy time,  it's done on a per minute basis,   and i could see them getting annoyed if they are on skype and get disconnected every 30,  For now i'm just going to continue to operate on the honor system,  tell the 30 min users that they have 30 minutes, and to please watch their own time,   if they go slightly over the 30 I won't charge them extra,  but if they go too much over, heck it's only $2.50 for another 30 mins.

But i'd love to find a workaround.
