I stumbled upon a blog post today where some folks has put together a VXA for freebsd + PV Drivers & XenTools
http://360is.blogspot.com/2012/07/freebsd-90-paravirtualized-drivers-on.html
and I got to wondering if pfsense would be able to take advantage of something like this.
