Firewalling / Re: Communication between devices

Can you clarify how the wifi is setup? Is the wifi router in AP mode or DHCP disabled and not using its wan port?

If you created a 2nd network behind pfsense with overlapping subnets it would definitely cause the problem you were describing with Wi-Fi machines not reaching the nas.

Lastly you can't firewall with pfsense between 2 machines on the same subnet.

Are you aware that are public addresses and shouldn't be used for private use unless assigned to you by your ISP? 192.1.x.x and 192.2.x.x fall into that range.

I don't have voice service with them. The thing Is I can't even get v6 service working at all whereas that subreddit seems to indicate that it temporarily breaks it.

Once you get it going, it's easy to request a larger prefix.

The only problem is I still haven't got it going and even if I did I'm pretty sure they don't let you request a bigger one.

I'm only requesting a single 64 as that was all I could get working in the past

Solved: The problem was I still had the old interface up and that was still the default v6 gateway

I don't have a solution for you but you might wish to change plex settings locally instead of using the site as that would mean all changes are updated immediately.

If you haven't password protected the console you can simply reset the password from here.

If you have password protected the console you will need to follow these steps:

Reboot the pfSense box
Choose option 4 (Single User Mode) from the loader menu (The one with the ASCII pfSense logo)
Press enter when prompted to start /bin/sh
Remount the drive as rewritable:

/sbin/mount -o rw /
Run the built-in password reset command:

Follow the prompts to reset the password

Try the 2.4 beta.

Pfsense by default doesn't set any quotas or speed limits so it's most likely your server.
I'd start by looking at the PHP configuration assuming it uses that.

That's fairly mediocre as far as fiber connections go. I'd try it before buying something.

Wireless / Re: Difficulty setting up WLAN

I'd be willing to bet you can't use an internal wireless adapter as an access point with a virtual pfsense unless using pcie passthrough.

I'd venture to guess it probably has something to do with having both the wan and lan on the same subnet.
Also you really should put the asus modem/router into bridge mode and avoid that double nat.

Netgear CM600
Dell Powerconnect 5324
RPI3 Raspbx

Recently swapped out my cable modem for a Netgear CM600 (so far my connection seems way better no more jitter or people complaining about voice calls being garbled/cutting out) Next week I'm getting an UPS and I plan to use what's left of that flex hose to tidy up the power cables.
