You can always check out my site I am making for block lists for PfSense/PfBlocker at

Most of everyone uses Github to do block lists as I have started to make some lists of my own on Github and its far better than doing it on pastebin because Github will show any updates to the lists and 100% open source free.

Who is to say the other DNS providers don't track you? The whole business thing these days is big data, once you have to interact with the world, bye-bye privacy.

100% True !! I totally agree, I bet even all free DNS's are in it to.
You can say the same thing about VPN's now and I don't trust any of them but NordVPN's policy is not to keep logs of their users and IPvanish say the same But they could be lying to.

Even Tor can be compromised with the nodes.

The great thing about PfSense and PfBlocker is at least you can block as much as possible and more of a chance of privacy than the general public.

Sadly its only going to get worse.

Cheers ;)

Many thanks for your excellent replies :)

I have done it and I am still online lol
I am using the Comodo DNS ips and started doing it in PfBocker but then reading the posts done it correctly I think and it all seems ok so far.

It don't really matter as I have always used Nord VPN but I will never forget my ISP telling me something that made me angry, the guy on the phone boasted saying he can see everything, this was many years ago but still privacy is now a nightmare online so thank god for PfSense and packages like PfBlocker.

Im in the UK on Virgin Media btw just encase there are any uk guys reading this ;)

cheers guys thank for the link and your input.

all the best.

Check out my website as I am building a page for all the links you may want for PfBlocker im going to be doing my own UK ones as well like the BBC, government and so on ;)

Thank you all

Unless your ISP is "redirecting" all DNS queries to his own DNS, you can use/set whatever DNS you like/want.

Interesting I think ill do some testing ;)

Many thanks

I am guessing this is a stupid question but I was just thinking out loud.

I wonder If you could block your own ISP's DNS IP's ???

I got 2 like and

We all know that the ISP is watching everything we do online so I was wondering if it was possible to block them 2 server IP's and just use other DNS's like Comodo DNS and so on.

Or do you have to have your ISP's DNS to use say Comodo free DNS IP's ???

Just a thought ;)

Id Rather block it from the hole network from the router not just each computer just look at my site there are so many links to get now and I like the ransomware links now that it good to stop from the router.

Hiya all and Happy New Year ;)

I am just finishing my new website off and I just wanted to show you the IP Block List page for all PFsense users like myself.
I hope you like it and find it a place to go to get some lists.

I found an excellent way of using filterlist that the uBlock plugin uses and other adblocker plugins, you will see what I mean when you read my page.

Because I been a fan of PfSense for so many years I made and IP block list page to turn to for others wanting to add to there routers ;)

PfBlocker has always been my favorite package its a master peace.

I haven't fully finished the site for my work in my local area and I need to put the lists in order but otherwise go check it out and I hope it will be some use to you.

All the best ;)

pfBlockerNG / Block Windows Lists

I also block this list for windows spying, I got it from the software called  Destroy spying on Windows 7/8/8.1/10.

So here are the to custom lists you can add to Pfblocker ;)

IP4 Black list Deny Both:

Also Custom Url List deny both:

Of course this is for people like me who always block Windows and Apple.
This is an up to date list and its great for stopping them ads on Skype.

You don't need to install any dependencies manually, as they are all installed on pkg installation...

I don't see any issues with the settings for this custom list.... I would remove the "Filter via Alexa" as that may remove Domains that are in the Alexa TOP sites (as per your Alexa settings)....

Also when you add domains to the list, you need to click on the "Update custom list" so that on a Force Update, it knows that there are changes to make...

Many thanks I will double check that.
All looking good so far ;) BBcan177

:) Ok what am I doing wrong ?

I have my own personal hosts block list I been using for years on my pc's so I thought it would be better to add it to pfblocker so I did it how I thought it should be but I can still see the sites on the list from testing.

I took a screenshot for you so you can tell me what I did wrong ;)

Its either that or I have missed something somewhere else?
