IPsec / IPSec Tunnel Granting One Way Traffic
« on: February 19, 2018, 11:11:39 pm »
Hi :)

I have a tunnel between a ZyXel USG20w and latest of pfsense, i can access the USG20w side but not vice versa, can't even ping the pfsense side, i'm wondering if it's a routing issue..

Any suggestions? Thx!

IPsec / Only 1 IPSec VPN Tunnel Can be UP at a Time
« on: February 14, 2018, 11:48:13 am »

I know my tunnels are working as they work one at a time, but when both are enabled in pfsense, only 1st one enabled works...does this make sense?

IPsec / PfSense to ZyXel IPSec VPN Help!
« on: February 13, 2018, 09:06:57 pm »

I'm trying my best to setup a tunnel between a ZyXel USG40w and pfsense but it's not quite working out, i've matched both authentication for Phase 1 and 2 on both ends but getting "Dial a Dynamic Tunnel Has Failed for Crypto Map" Error :(

Does a "how to" instructions exist as i could not find one via google search that worked..

I'm only able to get a reading of 100Mbps Up/Down on a 250Mbps Up/Down plan with Bell DSL on an HP dc7700 (C2Duo) w/On Board Gigabit NIC (WAN) + TP Link Gigabit (LAN) & NO MODEM / Direct Connection to DSL service via VLAN.

I was wondering what could cause this when both the WAN & LAN NICs are Gigabit...

I'm new to pfsense and wanted to know if i should setup VPN, with OpenVPN or L2TP over IPSec?

I also have a ZyXel USG40w, any suggestions for setting up an IPSec tunnel?

Thx :)

I just took over a new customer who had pfsense setup as their router, previous tech left on bad terms and did not provide password, i reset the password and got in. I had to wipe the LAN connection as for some reason i could not obtain a valid IP. Finally got that working and hit the GUI, at this point i must have deleted the setup for WAN as i can no longer get the internet to work :(

This customer was connected directly via a network card Bell's fiber box without a DSL modem thus am not sure if i use PPPoe with customer's DSL credentials (does not work) or another method since he doesn't use a modem...I tried setting up a modem / pppoe from my office and it worked, but i also tried with his modem and his credentials and it did not!

Please help! Thanks
