webGUI / Re: Kill OVPN client connection
« on: April 03, 2018, 08:41:55 pm »
The "Error occurred" pop-up on the dashboard is caused by a race condition where the widget is requesting status from a resource that no longer exists. Annoying no doubt but it should not affect functionality.

Fixed in the next snapshot

The error message is "fixed", but the ability to kill the OpenVPN Connection remains non-functional.

Update to 2.4.3; the error message no longer occurs - but the OVPN Connection does not get killed.
Still a bug

Pretty much along the same lines as I was thinking. moikerz
I have several installed remotely in small boxes, screwed to aluminium plates. The fan is the next option if heat proves to be too much.
The question is: How much heat is too much? I have generally had temps of 76 on the Status page.
Is there another method of measuring and logging temps?

I will be pushing temperature limits on an SG-1000, is the status page now more accurate ?
Just testing some boundaries to establish if I need to add some heatsinking.

Messages from the pfSense Team / Re: QNAP to add pfSense to its products
« on: February 21, 2018, 04:27:22 am »
May I respectfully ask my original question again without the attempted ridicule;
What format is the commercial proposal?
Is pfSense going to be a product for purchase? Or does Qnap provide it as an added feature to their hardware?
Personally I have no issue with paying, as this generally assists the longevity of the product.

Nice piece of debugging.

Is there something that the developers should note regarding this?

I use user certificates in which the username is the CN.  Not sure if this is the case for the original poster.

I also have matching CN & User Name

When I changed the client IP to the username field, then I was able to kill the client

Are you saying this is an IP address? Or simply some other text to identify a user?

Save your config, then reinstall 2.4.2-1 from scratch, then upload old config

OpenVPN / WAN modem nat
« on: February 17, 2018, 04:34:31 am »
Is there a convenient way to view the settings / web page of the remote 4g or Adsl modem via OpenVPN?
I can do via a Nat if I am directly connected to remote pfsense router;
However I don't always have a publicly accessible IP address on 4g.
These routers run a client to call in to the centre & I want to get to the 4g modem to see rssi details.
Perhaps SNMP?

Openvpn Connect App has just been nicely updated with graphs.
Worth another look?

I run a number of APU2; Coreboot 4.0.7 & have not seen this issue occur.

OpenVPN / OpenVPN Status Latency
« on: January 23, 2018, 09:13:54 pm »
Is there a setting to tune the OpenVPN status reporting?
I would like to when an OpenVPN connection has dropped out within 10 seconds or less; through the GUI Dashboard.
