webGUI / Re: System logs don't show all local log entries?

It shows however many lines you have it configured to display, 50 by default.

Yeah the only reason to keep the gitrepo directory around is if you want to gitsync again, it'll be much quicker to update the existing than to checkout the entire thing. Outside of that, it has no impact on the system.

Installation and Upgrades / Re: upgrade 2.3 to 2.3.2 no good
« on: July 25, 2016, 10:54:39 pm »
That's likely a bug that's fixed in 2.3.2, but that'll only apply once you're on 2.3.2. You don't have DNS Resolver or Forwarder bound to 127.0.0.1, so DNS fails in the upgraded slice. Enable localhost for DNS Resolver or Forwarder depending on which you're using, and run the upgrade again. It'll succeed then.

Peer to peer OpenVPN server types don't show up in client export, by design. That's not a remote access type, so it won't be there.

It doesn't match that bug report. It was already fixed for one, and two it never affected single core CPUs.

That's probably the issue with VIA Padlock, it seems to have driver issues. Using something other than AES, so Padlock isn't touched, was reported to workaround by a couple people who ran into that issue.

It was intended, just not finished yet. What's there is correct and complete, those on 2.3.x have the update available. The rest is coming.

What hardware?

2.4 isn't *that* far away, should be out sometime this year. It's not in 2.3.2, and there likely won't be a 2.3.3. The support is inherent in the installer changes that are in 2.4.

Check /etc/rc.gateway_alarm

ip_change_kill_states is only where you have a WAN IP change. It has no relation to gateway actions. It's there because some people's IPs change twice very quickly when they change, and it ends up missing the original IP in the state killing in that circumstance.

CARP/VIPs / Re: CARP sync renders both DHCPs enabled

That's the expected and desired result, they're configured as a failover group. Not a problem, that's what you want.

No issues in the final snapshot, the only issue was a problem in factory with auto-assignment of interfaces on one platform. The delay is attributable to others going through the testing process and me being hands-off, to make sure others can get through it following the documentation. Which is going fine, but takes much longer the first time you do it.

So will you still be hanging out on the forum as just a member and not a admin, maybe under a new nick even if want to create separation..  I don't get why moving to a new job means no more posts from cmb?

While your post rate might drop significantly, moving to a new job doesn't mean it has to go to zero does it?

You have to be careful about conflicts of interest in such matters. Between that, and the time demands of learning a bunch of different things, it'll be near zero.
