Unable to Check For Updates
« on: April 06, 2016, 10:51:16 am »
After the 4/6/16 update I am seeing "unable to check for updates" and "no packages installed". Everything including my packages are working fine though.

2.3-RC (amd64)
built on Wed Apr 06 05:34:38 CDT 2016
FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE

I am getting the same error.

As an aside, the last build was the first time 2.3 had ever crashed on me.

All kinds of fucked up... Same issue here and I cant even check my firmware version.

The following input errors were detected:
ERROR: Error trying to get packages list. Aborting...
ERROR: Error trying to get packages list. Aborting...

Edit,

Found the fix.

Go to settings and apply the new default repo.
They changed and it looks like is not applying.

Hitting save on the update settings page fixed it for me as well.

Is hitting save an issue?

Have you guys check this sticky post: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=109337.0

EDIT: Nevermind, just had the issue after the update ;)

EDIT2: Go in System/Update... Choose the Update Settings tab... Select the default value which is "Follow 2.3 snapshots........" and hit "save" then go back in "System Update" and it will say you are at the current version and it also fix the dashboard...

Hope this help

Nope! Still "unable to check for updates" error, and no way to update manually...nice!

If you're still getting that at this point, you likely have connectivity issues. First guess, the system thinks it has IPv6 connectivity and it doesn't, but could be any number of things. SSH in, option 8, run:
Code: [Select]
pfSense-upgrade -4
what's that get you?
