Limiters & Squid
« on: June 30, 2017, 12:58:10 pm »
Hi, im having a problem with the limiters that are not being applied.

I have squid running in transparent, and some tranfers are not being limited, for example updates.

I can see via NTOPNG and in the traffic graph (see attach) that from my lan side nothings chugs bandwidth but IS doing is all in the wan interface, seems that squid is not into the limiter.

Any idea ?

Thank u.

What are the settings on your limiter, and where are the rules that put traffic in the limiter?

If the limiter is on LAN rules, then of course squid could not be hitting it because connections from squid are not the same connections made by local users hitting the proxy. They would be exiting WAN directly, not "passing through" like traffic that hits LAN rules.
