Blocking web gui but allowing squidguard redirect page
« on: November 08, 2017, 07:00:55 am »
Hi Guys,

Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction.

I have PFsense + squid + squid guard running providing me with some content filtering. My set up includes both a local lan and a guest lan (as virtual lans) using different ip ranges.

Now i wanted to block access to the web gui from the guest lan, but when I do this I cant access the squid guard internal redirect page from the guest lan.

Is there any way round this, or should I just giveup using the internal redirect page.

Thanks

Matt

why not just block access with a firewall rule? Something like a :

block rule source subnet destination FWIP dest port: 443
