SG-1000: my results of playing around with it. It works ;)
« on: November 21, 2017, 07:06:14 pm »
Hi!

It's a bit unclear from the forums and spec what the SG-1000 micro firewall can and cannot do. I've played around a bit and it works quite well. I'm using it for a few quite specific use cases, but am hoping that the following write-up I did helps people decide if it's for them. In particular, I found that Suricata actually works (on a single interface) without exhausting the CPU ... as long as you don't have too much traffic.
I also describe a workaround for adding wi-fi, after some fruitless experimenting.

Enjoy! 8)
