How can I give my kids 1 extra hour?
« on: February 01, 2018, 10:17:15 pm »
The situation:
My kids keep staying up late using the internet.  So I bought pfSense to turn off their internet via scheules, rules and aliases.  This works well.

The Problem:
Sometimes they need an extra hour to finish homework. After the homework is done I must remember to log back in and turn on the rule again.  But sometimes I forget.

I found some nice cheat sheets like https://gist.github.com/tracphil/4353170, and I'm able to list the rules by listing the commands and grepping for night.
Code: [Select]
pfctl -vvsa | grep nightBut I can't seem to find a way to ssh in and execute a command which will disable and enable a firewall rule after an hour.

Question:
How can I set a rule to be temporarily disabled?
