ath0: stuck beacon; resetting (bmiss count 4)
« on: September 30, 2009, 03:56:52 pm »
Im getting this in the console every second.  I have the wifi interface bridged with LAN and have tried both 11g and 11b modes.

I cant get any wireless client to connect.

Is anyone else experiencing this?  Im running a mini-pci atheros card in a watchguard x700.

Hmm interesting, when I change the channel setting from auto to channel 11 on 802.11g mode, beacon errors go away and Im able to connect.

There is a problem with "auto" in the channel settings for AP mode, I think. I remember reading something to that effect.

Auto doesn't make a lot of sense for an AP anyhow, using a specific channel is better.

Some cards don't work right in auto for some reason.
