Random Crash and Reboot
« on: May 11, 2012, 05:19:38 pm »
I will have random crashes and my system will reboot. Upon full bootup pfsense shows me that i just had a crash. Not sure why this is happening. Thoughts on what logs to view for this?

Looking at your crash reports (or at least the ones coming from the IP you're accessing the forum from), they're the telltale sign of hardware failure, RAM specifically (though it could be some other component failing that's causing memory issues). Crash is "panic: bad pte".

Alright thanks for taking a look at those crash reports i was sending. I tried replacing the RAM and HDD but i still get notification light on the server. Even tried removing ram and HDD completely. Thanks again anyways.
