Are there any decent (i.e. can hold a long line) ADSL 2+ ethernet modems that allow access to line data (including bit-loading) when running bridged or half-bridged?
I've been using a Netgear DM111P, but that doesn't seem to give bit-loading and the main web interface is a right pain to use without IE (no use in Mac/Linux environment).
I've been having some line issues, and the extended diagnostics would really help. I've looked at the D-Link DSL-320 and Draytek Vigor-120 but they don't appear to have a lot in the way of diagnostics.
I could use a modem/router, but I've always found these to be less reliable in the past (frequent crashes / lock-ups) when running for extended periods.
