Is there any multicast / IGMP support?
« on: February 12, 2006, 12:48:27 pm »
For pfSense, is there any multicast / IGMP support on

1. only the LAN side
2. receive IGMP info from WAN side

I asked since to have a successful AND fast LAN multicasting, e.g. Symantec Ghost image multicast, it's better to have a multicast aware-router / switch.

Or else those 10Mbps printers will slow down the multicast speed. Thanks.

Just found some old info about m0n0wall multicast capability:

No, its not supported on pfSense but those instructions still apply.  Use the VMWARE Developers environment to make the changes you need.

No need for that, just run the scripts mentioned in the wiki and your edition will be uptodate: http://wiki.pfsense.com/wikka.php?wakka=VMWareDevelopersEdition
