Problem with Macbook connecting to Pfsense as a PPTP Server
« on: September 21, 2015, 08:25:38 am »
Hello Community,

I have a question regarding PFsense as a PPTP Server. I have configured Pfsense as a PPTP Server. When a Windows Client connects to it, everything works fine, but when a Mac Client connects to it, it can successfuly establish the connection, and even get the right IP, DNS and so on, but the Macbook canīt access anything else as soon as the VPN Connection has been established besides the internet. Is that a known problem? Or can someone help me with it.

It will, but you canīt recognize it as I see it right, because PPTP is broken and
should not any more be used, because on the insecureness of it.

Go by the ShrewSoft VPN client then, because there are many tutorials out there
to bring it up really easily and sure.

If you are familiar with the germany language you will find here a super written tutorial
that you only have to retype in your settings! Pretty old but working and shown there is
also MacOS and pfSense! PPTP VPN tutorial
